Directory Instructions

The House Church Directory is a place to look for groups near you, to list your own group or to list yourself as looking for a group.

Our House Church Directory is the oldest and largest on the internet. It is a group effort by the House Church Discussion List and House Church Central. Both of us had directories and we recently merged them.

All listings have recently been run through an email verification program to make sure they are good emails. Listings that were connected to bad email addresses have been deleted. Listings are verified on an ongoing basis.

Email addresses are not made public on our directory. Emails are kept private. When someone wants to contact you or your group, they fill out the contact form on your listing and you receive that request via email.

You can enter as little or as much information about your group as you want. You can have a very basic simple listing or your can add more information.The social media section allows you to put your facebook profile page and other social media profile pages in your listing. This gives folks more ways to contact you. You can add photos and an in-depth description and a link to a website if you have one.

Everyone who contacts a group receives an email from the directory asking them if they heard back from that group. If they do not get a response, we look into the situation. If it is an older listing, possibly the group is no longer meeting, or they have a new email or ? We try to resolve what has happened. If it is clear there is no way to contact the group – we delete the listing.

The groups in our directory have not been vetted or verified. So if you get in contact with a group in your area, let God lead you to see if this is a group you would feel comfortable in.

There is a place in the listings to leave a review. We encourage you to leave a review of your experience with the group – as a help to others.

How to Search the Directory

The easiest way to search, is to go to the All Directory Listings page which is a map shower the number of listings in a specific area. Click on the number of listings in the area you are searching. The map will continue to drill down to a smaller area showing the listings there. Continue clicking till you find a group near by you.

The Search Page allows you to search the directory by location. Type in your location and wait for the dropdown menu to show you options after you type. Pick the location option that is closest to where you want to search. Then choose the radius you want to search in.

To contact a group you are interested in, fill out the contact form in their listing.

We also have a link to other directories on the internet.

Online groups can also be listed that do not have a physical location. Chooses Online Group as a category when you enter you listing. Be sure to give your website or online link for your meetings and times. You can search for Online groups by clicking here.

You can also list and search for events. To enter an event, when you make your start your listing, choose event as the category, then put in as much information as you want. To search for events, got to Events in the Directory menu.
