Championing Jesus Among Influencers And Beyond 

CrossOver LA began with a God-given conviction: every person has influence, and when an influencer meets Jesus, entire communities can be transformed. Our mission is to help people cross over—from darkness to light, from culture to Kingdom, from being influenced to becoming an influencer for Christ.

How It Started

The dream of CrossOver LA traces back to Jay’s childhood in the Philippines. His brother’s youth band wrote a song titled “Cross Over,” with a line that marked him for life:

“Cross over from darkness to light.”

That phrase planted a seed about transformation, mission, and reaching “the ends of the earth.”

Years later, in January 2015, during a prayer-and-fasting walk in downtown Los Angeles, Jay saw a giant glowing billboard that read:

“JESUS SAVES.”

Those two words reignited that childhood seed, filling him with compassion for LA and stirring a clear prompting from the Holy Spirit:

“Plant a ministry in Los Angeles. Call it Cross Over.”

Learning the Culture, Reaching the Influencers

Before launching, Jay immersed himself in LA’s culture—its creatives, leaders, pressures, and spiritual needs. He built relationships across the county and recognized a crucial truth:

Influencers shape culture—and redeemed influencers can shape culture for Jesus.

CrossOver LA was formed to disciple those who create trends, conversations, and communities.

CrossOver LA responds to Jesus’ compassion in Matthew 9:36–38—the call to see the crowds, feel His heart, and raise laborers for the harvest.

Our Milestones

• Launched Zoom Bible studies during the COVID-19 lockdown
• Baptisms that marked transformed lives
• Formation of 7 Host Families, reflecting the early church model in Acts
• Growth of small groups and digital discipleship communities
